One of The Trust's aims is to provide a service to youth leaders to help them in their work with young people. With this in mind, we prefer to speak to all our clients before they make a booking. In this way we can match the size of group, needs of the individuals and desired outcomes of the voyage to the most appropriate vessel, sailing area and length of trip.

We may also be able to assist with funding a voyage through our Voyage Bursary Scheme, offer advice on additional funding sources, help with menu planning, arrange a visit or provide additional resource material.

The Trust operates a limited number of individual youth charters for Duke of Edinburgh Gold students and like minded young people plus day sails and longer voyages for traditional sail enthusiasts and adults who want a sailing experience. See Charters for more information.

We are always pleased to discuss any aspect of our service or voyage details so please telephone us on 01621 851433 or email info@cirdansailing.com

Sailing schedule

Our sailing schedule is relatively flexible depending upon client demand. Over the years we have come to know where the majority of our groups like to sail and generally base the schedule around this. If you have a particular voyage project in mind for this season or for the future, please put forward your proposal and we will be pleased to consider it.

Payments and cancellation

Payments

Our voyages are generally covered as follows:

  • A deposit of 10% of the full fee is required to secure the booking
  • The remainder of the outstanding fee is paid in 3 stages:
    1. 25% of the remainder:
28 days after receipt of the initial deposit
    2. 25% of the remainder:
midway between stage 1 and stage 3
    3. 50%:
           one month prior to departure.

If a voyage is booked less month before the departure date, the whole fee is usually required immediately.

The Cirdan Sailing operates a Voyage Bursary Scheme to provide assistance with charter fees for those groups who are unable to cover the full costs through alternative sources.

Cancellation

A Voyage booking may be cancelled at any time. However, all stage payments and any full payment due prior to the cancellation being received, in writing, by The Cirdan Sailing Trust are still payable.  Stage payments due after the date of cancellation are not payable.
