Crew qualifications

The professional sea staff aboard vessels operated by The Cirdan Sailing Trust are trained and qualified to meet or exceed the regulations laid down by the Department of Transports Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).

Our Skippers and Mates hold a minimum of a Royal Yachting Association Yachtmaster with Commercial Endorsement.

In addition to their sailing skills and experience, the crew are required to gain certificates in radio communications, first aid, sea survival and medical fitness.
